We are pleased to announce the release of Milesight VMS Enterprise 1.8.0.0, which includes significant features such as Video Synopsis, Event Rule Settings to Event&Alarm, IoT Devices Connected to create an unprecedented management platform whose competitiveness and usability is top-class.
Xiamen, China (Mar 28th, 2023)-Milesight IoT Co., Ltd. the best-in-class AIoT surveillance solution provider who manufactures products with superior image quality, exceptional flexibility and reliability for the global market, is pleased to announce the release of the new firmware version 1.8.0.0 of the Milesight VMS Enterprise. This updated release includes the new features and optimizations as below.
New Features
(1) Add Video Synopsis in the Playback interface to facilitate users quickly retrieve moving targets. When users click on this icon, it will enter the Video Synopsis interface.
Note:
- The Nvidia Graphics Card is required for VMS Client, and the recommendation of computingpower is 7.5 or more. Besides, the memory of the Graphics Card is recommended above 6G.
- Additional Video Synopsis component is needed.
(2) Adjust Event Rule Settings to Event & Alarm, which makes the Event Rules interface more clear and enhances the user experience to a certain extent.
(3) Add IoT Sensor Management in the Devices interface to facilitate users to add and manage gateways and sensors on the VMS.Currently, the supported sensors are AI Workplace Occupancy Sensor VS121, LoRaWAN® Wall Switch WS50X, Smart Light Controller WS558, Magnetic Contact Switch WS301 and Smart Button WS101.
Note:
- Currently, VS121 only supports Regional People Counting.
(4) Adjust the location of Logs, and add System Logs in the Logs Search Page, so that users can quickly locate the executed transactions and results of the system, such as ANR, Time Sync, etc.
(5) Closed-loop compatibility with some of Milesight camera's features, allows users to get more advanced functions on the VMS as well. Integrate with Milesight Traffic Sensing Cameras and MS-Cxxxx-xxPE cameras.

- The version of MS-Cxxxx-xxPE cameras require XX.8.0.3 or above.
(6) The integration of No-plate Detection and Evidence function makes traffic management more efficient on VMS.

- The version of the Intelligent Traffic Camera requires XX.8.0.2-LPR*-r4 or above.
(7) Add Display in the Video Wall Settings page, with Display Info Level and Frame RenderingMode to choose, users can choose different modes according to different application scenarios.
(8) VMS P2P supports region selection, making data transit safer and more efficient.
(9) Support VMS to push alarm information to M-VMS Mobile APP through P2P connection, so that users can receive the corresponding information in more timely manner.
Optimizations
(1) Optimize Server-based ANPR algorithm to improve target detection accuracy.
(2) The main stream is adjusted to the default stream option of Server-based ANPR, and theresolution is not less than 1080P. It optimizes the image effect and also enhances the detection.
(3) Optimize the Action Interval effect logic of event rules, so that users can receive timely alertson target events.
(4) Optimize the response speed of the timeline in the playback interface, greatly improving the user experience.
(5) Optimize system language to make VMS more international.
Bug Fixes
(1) Fix the bug that the Country/Region information cannot be achieved both in front-end and Server-based ANPR.
(2) Fix the bug of decoding exceptions that occur during preview.
(3) Fix the bug that Sony Network Cameras cannot be added via ONVIF.
(4) Fix the bug that cameras cannot be connected to VMS via P2P.
(5) Fix the bug that the keywords separated by commas in Source, Caption and Description in HTTP Event do not trigger the event respectively.
(6) Fix the bug that PTZ Limit does not take effect.
