With the rapid development of 5G and AI technologies, costs are reduced noticeably and various application scenarios mature gradually. The digital wave combining 5G, AI and IoT has significantly changed the global business landscape where "intelligence" and "interconnection" are becoming the rules of survival of the fittest. Thus, along with this rapidly iterating technology wave driving a shift in traditional business models, a new era with revelatory implications, the AIoT, has gradually arrived, along with a smarter and better lives.

The AIoT has approached the public’s life ahead of schedule, yet for the vast majority of people, its concept is still relatively vague. In fact, in the context of "AIoT", "5G+AI+IoT" together constitute a well-developed social nervous system where all parties are intelligently connected from sensing to transmission and to decision making, ultimately embracing the "intelligent interconnection of everything". In other words, "AIoT" beautifully integrates 5G, AI and IoT into applications. I firmly believe that in the near future, as the market and 5AIoT become more mature, these key technologies will penetrate into every corner of our work and life, just like electricity and the Internet did.

Furthermore, we can further illustrate the integration between these three technologies through a typical farming case. In a farming scenario, various types of sensors and devices that collect on-site environmental parameters about air quality, temperature, humidity, livestock population, activity trajectory and related image videos, all of which constitute the sensing layer of the IoT. To firmly support the transfer of information from data transmission to a central database, the communications technology should have the excellent capabilities and performance in terms of large access numbers, ultra-low latency, high speed, and ultra-high reliability. And here the answer is 5G because it is the perfect fit and combination fulfilled all requirements. In fact, it is 5G that enables intelligent scenarios for smart cities, smart homes, connected cars, mobile health care, and industrial Internet, which were originally difficult to achieve for vertical industry applications have all become possible. Once the data reaches the central database, AI comes into the picture. Commands will be issued based on AI's data analysis, such as "deeper diagnosis, feed adjustment, stop/continue feeding, space expansion" and all devices will be operated directly and accordingly. In this whole set of processes, IoT, 5G and AI together are allying up a remarkable team seamlessly and perfectly to build an amazing intelligent interconnected system.

So far, the development of core industries, such as smart city, smart education, smart security, smart agriculture and smart factory, has all achieved noteworthy and promising results amid China's implementation of the strategy of invigorating the country through science and technology. In the near AIoT era, as hundreds of billions of devices will access the network through 5G which lay the foundation for digital transformation in various verticals and thus help form a data-driven scientific decision-making mechanism, we will underpin marvelous process in smart city where intelligent interconnection of all things and multidimensional integration of people, machines and objects could be truly expected and more practicable. That will lead to advanced intelligent perception, precise management and convenient service of smart city operation. This will create a healthy, comfortable and environmentally friendly urban living space. Moreover, we will view digitalization, networking and intelligent development of the manufacturing industry as important means to promote the integration of the digital economy as well as the real economy. That is how we can create new dynamic driving force in the digital economy.
