Build recurring weekly plans that keep every space at a comfortable temperature during business hours and shut units down promptly at closing. Efficient scheduling helps reduce unnecessary energy consumption and lower electricity costs.

Define temperature limits for each space to prevent excessive cooling or heating and reduce energy costs. UC701 enforces the allowed range on local operations — when settings made via the AC remote control or mobile app fall outside the limits, UC701 automatically corrects them before they reach the AC. With the optional external NTC sensor, it also monitors actual room temperature and keeps the AC within the allowed range.

Connect the external NTC sensor to measure room temperature, especially when UC701 is concealed. This provides a more accurate reading of the actual room conditions for precise temperature control. The sensor also helps enforce temperature setpoint limits. Even when users adjust the temperature with the original remote, bypassing UC701, it can detect when the room gets too hot or cold and reset the temperature within the allowed range.

Add the external current transformer to detect whether the AC is running. With the AC unit's power rating, accumulated runtime also supports estimates of energy use and cost, so teams can compare operation before and after a control policy takes effect.

UC701 detects the sudden temperature change that may indicate an open window, raises an alert, and can shut the unit off automatically. In addition, it can work with the Milesight WS301 Contact Switch to get the actual window state.

Standard installations use 5V DC over USB Type-C, with plug type selected for the region. The optional battery compartment takes three AA alkaline batteries for sites where power is hard to reach.

Start learning from the existing remote, then confirm that power, mode, temperature, and fan commands all reach the air conditioner. For the same brand and model, reuse the validated code and re-check operation at each installation.

Firmware and configuration can be remotely delivered to deployed controllers, so a fleet does not need room-by-room visits.

Current feedback from the optional transformer supports routine running checks between maintenance rounds.
