Milesight 4G Solar-powered Perimeter Sensing Camera is a wireless perimeter protection solution designed for sites without fixed power or network infrastructure.
With built-in 4G connectivity and solar-ready power options, it enables rapid deployment and stable operation in off-grid and temporary environments. By combining motion sensing with visual verification, it delivers reliable perimeter alerts backed by images, allowing operators to detect intrusions early and respond with confidence.
PID Camera adopts a tri-sensing perimeter detection architecture, combining PIR motion sensing, AOV visual awareness, and on-edge AI visual filtering. Milesight supports flexible detection modes including Always PIR or day-time AOV + night‑time PIR, helping balance power consumption and responsiveness. With a detection range of up to 30 m, it delivers early intrusion awareness across wireless and off-grid deployments.
Both AOV and PIR detection modes can enable on-edge AI verification, and users can define effective zones on the image to match the real perimeter, filtering out irrelevant activity such as roadside vehicles or pedestrians passing nearby. By completing high-accuracy verification directly on the device, PID Camera reduces unnecessary wake-ups and minimizes reliance on 4G-triggered alarm linkages that may introduce latency, while also lowering bandwidth and data consumption.

When an event is triggered, Milesight camera supports flexible alert actions to fit different workflows. It can push alarms, evidence snapshots or event clips to your backend via HTTP(S) or MQTT(S), send notifications by email, or trigger on-site deterrence through an audio-out interface connected to a speaker to play pre-recorded warning messages.
Milesight camera goes beyond alarms to deliver a clear, evidence-ready trail. Powered by 4MP resolution and a 1/1.8" large sensor, it captures richer details when incidents happen, supporting confident incident review and reporting. Milesight provides three flexible evidence formats: a set of snapshots, a short event clip, or a snapshot + short recording, so operators get clearer, more complete proof than single-image alert outputs.

Milesight offers three working modes designed to balance power consumption and monitoring needs across different perimeter scenarios. From active intrusion monitoring to ultra‑low‑power standby, each mode optimizes how the camera wakes up, captures images, and responds to events, making it well suited for long-term, wireless, and off-grid deployments.
Designed for cellular-based cameras, PID Camera uses optimized image compression to reduce bandwidth usage and data costs without compromising event visibility. AI Image Compression intelligently reduces snapshot size, while support for H.264 / H.265 encoding ensures efficient video transmission.
Designed for remote viewing and management, PID Camera offers a user-friendly interface with multi-dimensional device insights beyond live view. Users can quickly check Wi‑Fi and cellular connectivity, GPS location, and internal/external battery status, along with sensor data such as altitude, temperature, and tilt/pitch angles—all without on-site access.
PID Camera enables a virtual perimeter that brings early intrusion awareness and evidence-ready verification to sites without fixed infrastructure.
Multiple cameras can be mounted on a tower—for example, four units to create a 360° virtual perimeter—helping protect heavy equipment and material storage areas against night-time theft and unauthorized access.
Deployed along fence lines at intervals of around 70 m, the cameras wrap around the site to form continuous perimeter coverage, detecting fence climbing and unauthorized intrusions in real time.
